Maheeda - Bares All in Explicit Video 'Naija Bad Girl'

They say sex sells and we are all accustomed to stars using their bodies to gain as much leaverage as they can to get their videos views ramped up to the max a prime example would be Miley Cyrus who seems to have achieved all the notoriety and publicity she could ever want with her infamous half naked 'twerking'incident to Robin Thicke at the MTV awards and her follow up wrecking ball video which featured a Miley on an err wrecking ball! with very very little on and earning her millions of views almost instantly.

Meanwhile Beyonce 'Queen B' and Rihana 'RiRi' seemed to be locked in a constant battle to show more flesh and less clothes in their latest videos, so maybe it was only matter of time before an aspiring Diva in Nigeria followed suit and the result is this raunchy video from Maheeda - titled 'Naija Bad Girl' which could not be any more explicit as the young lady bares all.

 As expected it has attracted a lot of criticism from different quarters, Is it immoral and in bad test and how far do you go before crossing over the thresholds of decency? others have also criticised the song for its alleged lack of substance and rather weak lyrics from Maheeda. I'll leave you to be the judge - one thing that is certain is that Maheeda is certainly getting the publicity she craves because of the content of the video however it might not be the type attention she wants and whether or not it will enhance her music career in the long run - only time will tell meanwhile check out and enjoy or download the track and feel free to leave your comments

Femi Kuti - No Place For My Dream

Nigeria's afrobeat pioneer and internationally renowned musician Femi Kuti suddenly awoke in the middle of the night with a melody he couldn't get out of his head he found himself humming it not just the next morning but 24 years later. Today that track is 'No Place For My Dreams' which is on his latest album also titled - 'No Place For My Dream' . 
The album comprises 11 tracks and includes hits such as 'The World Is Changing', 'This Is Only The Begining' and 'Politics Na Big Business'.

Dj Switch - A New Star Is Born

Watch the capitivating moment when DJ Switch was declared the 1st winner of the Grand Finale of the Glo X-Factor West Africa 2013 which was sponsored by the multinational telecom company Globacom and held in Port Harcourt Nigeria.

DJ Switch whose real name is Catherine Udeh bagged a 24 Million Naira Cheque and a recording contract with Sony Music.  She adopted the name DJ Switch because of her versatility and ability to  effortlessly switch from one task to another while performing. 
Her rendition of a Jayz track and then the 'Michael Jackson track Black or White' on the night of X Factor Show 7 earned her rapturous applause from the audience and judges alike and more than anything else displayed the depth of her talent and hard work she must have put in to deliver such a polished performance and it was no suprise to most that she deservedly won the competition. While receiving her cheque she was Joined on stage by the U.K.  X Factor Winner  Alexandra Burke who has gone on to forge a very successful music career since winning the show in 2008. and we are sure her presence must have served as a big inspiration to DJ Switch.

 Her tearful and humble display of joy and prayers thanking the Almighty for his blessing and then rushing to embrace her mother Mrs Udeh who was sitting the front row was quite touching and infectious, it set the audience off to more wild applause and chants of DJ Switch.  She capped off the night by giving a superb performance of her forthcoming single 'Safe Landing,
I think it more than faIr to say that a new star has been born and we expect much more from DJ Switch in the not too distant future, stay tuned and watch this space.
