Sham Pain - Azonto With Her

Sham Pain hits the floor running with another Club Banger after his
early summer release track with the Apako Master 'Terry G'. entitled
"Sarewa" (Released April 2012) which is still receiving massive airplay over 35 time a day across 7 Of Nigeria's top major radio stations and is also featured and circulated on Alaba Mixtapes

This one is called 'Azonto With Her' which he says was inspired by his favourite Nigerian actress 'Genevieve Nnaji' in the song he describes her natural beauty and the joy he has dancing with her in the styles of Atlanta Azonto and says when he meets her in person he will follow through with his request to Azonto with her and he is sure she won't say no.
He's expecting an even bigger response with this track and by the initial reception from his fans it has been an instantaneous hit just bubbling and getting ready to blow!!, So hold on to your seats this is going to be massive.

SKD - " We Won't Stop "

Fresh New Joint from SKD his music has been described as raw, honest and always real. A lyrical poet of the first order, he burst on to the scene in 2011 with his first music video titled "This My Rhyme" and since then he has gained a sizeable army of fans across the world.
Martins Okuonghae popularly known as Soundknockdown aka S.K.D was Born in Edo state Benin City Nigeria.. From an early age he began entertaining and rapping being heavily influenced by 2Pac, Kurtis Blow, Nas , Jay Z, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and DMX. He adopted the stage name Soundknockdown from his live performance and the way he goes hard on instrumental - basically knocking down instrumentals with his vocals.

S.K.D is known for making great rap music, however, he is also heavily influenced by many of the Nigeria great artist and he is currently in the studio recording his first 9ja pop album and he believes that this will show a completely different side to him and prove just how versatile he is. S.K.D currently based in London is releasing his latest single "We Won't Stop " a follow up from his hit track "What's My Name".

Mr Kombo 'Don't Try Me'

We all now know that afropop is now getting huge attention and airplay in the mainstream pop charts so it's no surprise that many artists  from countries like Nigeria and Ghana which have been at the forefront of the revolution  are stepping up their game and droppin some serious joints pushing the music to new levels and breaking new bounderies.

We will of course continue endeavour to bring you our choice picks of the best of this new crop of artists or sometimes not so new artistes who are now bursting on to the scene and staking a claim as the next big ting from Africa. 

We introduce Mr Kombo aka Sabi Sumtin Boi a super hot afro rap artiste signed to the independent label "Juss.So.U.Knw Music Group"  he displays his rap skills on a beat produced by his sibling and co producer  EQlipse. The song is titled Dont Try Me(Dem No Born U Well)  I ve listened to this and trust me the N**#gg@'s got  flow he delivers on the verses and also handles the chorus with an attitude and style that instantly hits home as something special,  In one of the lines he says "I've' got more for the game, this is just an entree",and I agree this guys got game  so watch out for more forthcoming singles from the rising star.

Janelia- Love Song in Yoruba

Very nice video and sweet tune from U.S based singer- songwriter Janelia,This is a love song in Yoruba with a great melody  taken from her new album Nigeria 'Ti Ti Lai Lai '  released earlier this year.

Janelia who is currently based in Baltimore U.S.A grew up in the Nigerian city of Ibadan and started singing from a very early age in her local church choir before going on to sing professionally while in college she lists her influences from a wide range of artists and music genres the likes of Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Sade, Babara Streisand and so on.  

She has a strong attraction for love songs and ballads and this is reflected in her music which has been  described as a blend of West African sounds with an urban feel,  her songs are mainly sang in English but also fused with choruses and words in Yoruba her first language. 

To date Janelia has been getting thousand of views and great reviews of her videos on YouTube and  is currently planning to got on national tour of America  and also hopes to tour Africa, UK and Australia in the near future.
